Organize Script

John Wundes has created another awesome script called Organize. With Organize, you can quickly sort selected items by a given attribute. Items can be sorted on height, width, area, x-axis, y-axis, opacity, and order. The sort direction are small-to-large, large-to-small, and random. It’s a pretty handy script for organizing icon sets, logo comps, and a bunch more. What would you use it for? Go download it now!

10 Splendid Color Picker Scripts

ColorPicker 0.9

A color picker allows the users to preview the color and select it by clicking on it. It is useful when you need to create some customization for the user but, I think it is a very useful piece of code in the admin side of a CMS site. There are simple scripts which generates a simple web safe color palette to advanced ones which creates a color palette like Adobe Photoshop.
Photoshop is powerful image editing software which makes the web designers; graphic designers as well as photographer to work with easy and create desired effects in the images.
Here are some cool color picker scripts that can be used. Some of them are written using plain java script – means you don’t need any java script library.

Distribute Stacked Objects Script

Here is another great Illustrator script from John Wundes. It’s called Distribute Stacked Objects and it does pretty much what it says, it will distribute and center all selected objects. The object’s position is determined by it’s staking order in the Layers panel with the top object always placed first. You can also define a padding value when prompted. Pretty handy for importing messy files into Illustrator.

Set ALL the Things Script

I’m always needing to batch transform objects when I’m working in Illustrator. For example, I have a set of icons and each icon needs to be set with new dimensions. Currently within Illustrator, there is no wash way to do this. The best way I’ve found is to record an Action and play it on each icon. That’s until John Wunders released his Set ALL the Things Illustrator script!

Using the Script

The script will first prompt you change the “Attributes”, like height and width. Then the script will prompt you to change the “Value”. For the more adventurous user, the script allows passing of more advanced functions like fillColor or strokeColor. To learn more, check out John’s blog post and download the Set ALL the Things script.
